Wake up. Find the book I was reading last night somewhere in the bed. Get up and get
ready for school. Yes, I shower and brush my teeth every morning!

Arrive at school. Check mailbox. Turn on lights, computers, open the library, collaborate with
teachers, help students. This is always a busy time. Don't be a teacher-librarian if you can't function in the
morning.

Teach a lesson on MLA citations and parenthetical documentation to freshmen.

Database training for a group of Senior Seminar students.
|
|
|
Co-teach a web quest on Of Mice and Men.
|
|
|
Grab a quick bite to eat (if I'm lucky) while helping students with research, computer problems, homework
questions, and manning the Circulation Desk.

|
|
Help study hall students complete research, answer homework questions, solve technology problems, renew,
return, and check out books. Reshelve books.

|
|
Book talks to sophomores.
|
|
|
Teach students how to format a TriFold brochure using Microsoft Word.
|
|
|
School's over, but helping students is not! Try to get out of here at a decent time today...

Head home and walk my dog.

Prepare supper, eat, and do dishes.

Squeeze in a little professional reading from magazines like School Library Journal, VOYA, or Teacher-Librarian.

Get in bed and curl up with a good book. Return to the top and repeat.
