High School Library Media Program

Rationale:

It is the mission of Prairie High School Library Media Program to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.
 

Aim:

The vision of the distict's Media Program is to promote reading for enjoyment and to help students to become efficient, effective, responsible, and ethical users of ideas and information. The purpose of the program is to facilitate access to a wide variety of resource materials in varying formats that support the mission, vision, and educational goals of the College Community School District, including student achievement. The ultimate goal of the Media Program is to create informed, adaptable lifelong learners who will thrive in our ever-changing global and technological society.

 
Essential Questions:

How do I best focus on the problem/assignment and the information needed to accomplish this task?

How do I most effectively use the resources available both inside and outside the school library?

What are the most effective ways to use the library catalog and online resource materials?

What is the best way to document what I have learned, and how will I share that information with my intended audience?

How will I combine what I have documented to demonstrate and share my personal learning?

How will I best evaluate this learning process as well as my learning product?
